Statement of Faith

We Believe ...

The Inspiration of Scripture  – The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testament, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct for Christians. (Proverbs 30:5; Isaiah 40:8; II Timothy 3:15-17; I Thessalonians 2:13; II Peter 1:21)

The One True God – One true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent, “I AM”, the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. A God who always was and always will be ever present in three divine persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 4:35, 6:4; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:19-20;  Luke 3:22; John 5:7, 16:7-10, 17:5)

The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ – The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. The Scriptures declare this through: His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary work on the cross, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, and His seat at the right hand of God. (Matthew 1:23, 28:6; Luke 1:31, 1:35, 9:51, 24:39; John 3:13, 20:17; Acts 1:9, 1:11, 2:22, 2:33, 10:38; I Corinthians 15:3-4; II Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:9-11; Hebrews 1-3, 7:26; I Peter 2:22)

The Fall of Man – All have sinned, all are lost and all deserve hell, which is eternal separation from God. Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God. Eternal life is based on what He did, not what we do. Salvation is  received through confession and repentance to God and by putting our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost, being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God according to the hope of eternal life. (Genesis 1:26-27, 2:17, 3:6; I Kings 8:46; Psalm 51:5; John 1:12, 14:6, 19:30; Romans 3:23, 5:12-19, 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; I Timothy 2:5; Titus 3:5; I John 5:13)

The Church – The Church is the Body of Christ. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the General Assembly and Church of the First-born, which are written in heaven. (Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:22;  Hebrews 12:23)

The Ministry – Our Lord has provided a divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry for a two-fold purpose: First, the evangelization of the world; second, the building up or strengthening of the Body of Christ. (Mark 16:15-20; Ephesians 4:11-13)

In Christ’s Commission - To preach the Gospel to every creature, and to make disciples of all nations.  (Psalm 145:11-12; Matthew 10:8, 28:18-20; Mark 16:15)

Matthew 5:16
"Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
